ABOUT THE ARTIST AND HOW DOGGIE DOODLES BY DINA  BEGAN

Doggie Doodles® by Dina are caricatures of dogs and cats with captions designed to make you smile and warm your heart!

Dina Capitani first began drawing "doggie doodles" when she was a child in an attempt to conjur up the love and joy she felt around her beloved dog Sugar.  She discovered that drawing dogs combatted feelings of loneliness and boredom and gave her an emotional boost.  Doggie doodling has since become a life long obession and thousands of doodles of various forms and expressions, including “kitty doodles” have emerged from her pen.  For years Dina felt the doodles were trying to speak through her and in 2005, on a whim, she painted her signature ”doggie doodle” on a t-shirt and paired it with the caption “dog is love.”  The t-shirt was a hit and orders started coming in.  Countless doodles were born, each with his or her own unique voice.  And Doggie Doodles® by Dina embarked on the adventure of carrying their messages to the world.

The adorable puppy barks, “Wuf’s up?” The kitty star heralds, “It’s all about Me...ow!” The Border Collie preaches “Love has no borders,” The Jack Russell teases, “You don’t know Jack!” and the Boxer invites you to “Knock yourself out. These are just a few examples of over 75 Doggie Doodles® and Kitty Doodles presently available from Dina.   Whether in the form of whimsical line art or a full color painting of someone's beloved pet, her doodles evoke the profound joy, pure love and comic relief that our beloved pets provide.

Products include custom pet caricatures as well as a unique line of magnets, greeting cards, art prints, t-shirts and more.

The signature heart represents the explosion of love I feel in the presence of our beloved pets.  The creation of doggie doodles was born out of the desire to express and embody that love.  May the doodles bring as many smiles to your face as they have to mine!

Dina resides in Nashville, Tennessee with her beloved kitty cat "Sunny Bunny".  Besides an artist, animal lover and "doggie doodler," Dina is a passionate singer/songwriter and an devoted practioner of yoga.  Her mission is to bring peace, love and joy to the world one smile at a time.
